US- Northrop Grumman extends NIH contract for 5 yrs


(MENAFN) Northrop Grumman Corp. announced that it has extended its contract with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for another 5 years, reported AP. The defense contractor said that the value of the contract, under which it will provide research services to NIH, is USD30 million. The company, which has held the original contract since 2004, noted that its partners on the contract are the Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California and E-SAC, Inc. of Rockville. It is worth noting that Northrop will provide computing and informational support to government researchers studying immune-system diseases.
