Dubai's Madinat Jumeirah set for USD680m expansion


(MENAFN) Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced that the emirate's Madinat Jumeirah is set to witness a USD680 million expansion plan to develop its tourism industry, reported Arabian Business. Sheikh Mohammed added that the expansion project, which will comprise a luxury 5-star hotel, villas complex, restaurants, a commercial center featuring retail stores and an open walking area, is scheduled to complete by the end of 2015. The hotel will include 420 rooms with sea views and will feature various international restaurants; whereas the villas complex will consist of 45 luxury villas and hotel apartments, that will be operated by Jumeirah Living, one of Jumeirah Group's subsidiaries. It is worth noting that Jumeirah Group also runs luxury serviced residences brand Jumeirah Living, the spa brand Talise, Jumeirah Restaurants, Wild Wadi Water Park, The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, and Sirius.
