(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Oman Marketing & Services Co (Omasco) recently launched Panasonic's new Lumix DMC-G5, Digital Single Lens Mirrorless camera, which the company says is capable of taking high-quality images with excellent resolution, image rendering and colour reproduction.The new DMC-G5 achieves higher resolution with the advanced image processing engine driven on a new algorithm and faster response, company officials said. The camera boasts of a high-speed AF system, Light Speed AF'. Consecutive shooting is also improved to 6fps.Masao Motoki, managing director, Panasonic Marketing - Middle East and Africa FZE, said that Oman is one of the main markets for cameras in the region. ''Consumers in Oman easily embrace new technology and the launch of these mirrorless cameras is the commitment that Panasonic has in Oman.'' Starting at a base price of RO399.9, the camera takes advantage of the 16.05-megapixel Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine, giving it the capability to record 1,920x 1,080 50p (PAL) full HD video in AVCHD Progressive with stereo sound.It has advanced AF system including practical full-time AF and tracking AF which is available in video recording for high-quality recording with ease.''The G5 is a versatile and compact camera that is designed to make photography simple and fun. This camera comes packed with features that will allow users to capture the perfect moment effortlessly. The G5 is truly a next step in Panasonic's G series mirrorless cameras and we are confident that consumers across the region will appreciate how versatile the G5 really is,'' said Hitesh Ojha, deputy general manager “ digital imaging, Panasonic, Marketing Middle East and Africa.
