Buxton Resources completes airborne survey at Widowmaker


(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Buxton Resources (ASX:BUX) has completed the airborne survey at its Widowmaker project in Western Australia, with results likely soon. The survey focused on similar prospective, interpreted mafic and ultramafic sequence that trends in a northeast direction along strike from Sirius Resources' (ASX:SIR) Nova nickel discovery. The Widowmaker project area also contains significant historical nickel, copper, cobalt and platinum group metals soil geochemistry targets. The project is located in the newly identified Fraser Range Nickel Province in WA and covers an area of approximately 225 square kilometres. The Widomaker airborne test survey comes close on heels of a electromagnetic survey at the Yalbra graphite project, also in Western Australia, which returned highly conductive response in the exploration target area of 8 to 12 million tonnes at 4% to 11% carbon. Buxton also has the Zanthus magnetite project in southern WA.
