UAE keen to boost trade ties with Brazil


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The UAE is interested in developing its trade and investment relations with Brazil and other Latin American countries, a senior economic official has said. Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, recently received Humberto Luiz Ribeiro, Secretary of Commerce and Services at the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, to explore mechanisms of expanding two-way trade exchange. A ministry Press release said Al Saleh urged the Brazilian companies to boost their trade and investment relations with the UAE and benefit from the country's economic and competitive strengths as a major trade gateway between the east and west. Ribeiro updated Al Saleh on the latest structural reforms in Brazilian economy, especially in tourism and industry. He expressed his country's desire to boost trade and investment cooperation with the UAE, which he said enjoys a prominent place at regional and international trade, and boasts of modern infrastructure, as well as flexible and friendly investment legislations.
