UAE- Al Masaood unveils new Nissan Altima


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Al Masaood Automobiles, or AMA, distributors of Nissan cars in Abu Dhabi, has unveiled the 2013 model of the Nissan Altima, a fuel-efficient vehicle that has been almost redesigned, breaking new ground for the mid-size sedan segment. "Nissan took one of the most successful models, kept its DNA and changed nearly everything - the visual appeal, the driving experience and, of course, the technology. The new Altima is hands-down the most engaging vehicle in its class," AMA general manager Irfan Tansel said at the launch event in Abu Dhabi. "The result is a modern and charismatic vehicle over delivering on the fundamentals earned over four generations and two decades, for quality and reliability and adds new levels of innovation, fuel-efficiency, dynamic performance and premium style" added Tansel. In reference to the UAE automotive market and AMA's sales performance Tansel said: "The UAE automotive market has been buoyant in 2012 with a 38 per cent increase in vehicle sales year-to-date versus 2011 same period." AMA and Nissan in Abu Dhabi have achieved excellent sales volumes, with an increase of 56 per cent versus 2011. Tansel added: "We have been able to outperform the market with utilising the positive trend in the market, superior products, offering innovative solutions to our valued customers backed by world-class facilities and award-winning sales and after-sales team." The fifth-generation new Altima offers numerous segment defining attributes that enhance the ownership experience and provide real customer value, including upscale interior rivalling premium luxury sedans, including best-in-class seat comfort inspired by zero-gravity research; an advanced drive-assist display; next-generation Safety Shield technologies, including Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Moving Object Detection systems, plus a rear-view camera. The vehicle, which is 70 per cent redesigned, is 20 per cent less expensive in terms of maintenance while comparing with the competition, according to a company official. The starting price for the New Altima is from Dh80,000-Dh115,000 depending on the version.
