(MENAFN) Toyota Motor Corp said that it will recall around 2.77 million cars globally as a result of a steering problem, reported Xinhua News.
The Japanese carmaker, which recalled 7.43 million vehicles for auto electric window failure last month, added that a problem in the steering intermediate extension shafts was discovered in certain models, that's why it decided to recall the cars.
The problem affects 13 models, including the second-generation hybrid Prius and the compact car Corolla.
It said that of the total, 1.52 million autos will be recalled in the domestic market, whereas the remaining 1.25 million will be recalled in other countries.
It is worth noting that Toyota will fix the problem for free.
