Egyptian President receives Emirati businessmen


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi has pledged to resolve all difficulties that encounter Emirati investors in Egypt. He disclosed that a new authority that reports directly to the presidency will be set up to resolve any current or future problem that face the investors. This was revealed here today when he received a delegation of Emirati businessmen and CEOs of Companies operating in Egypt in the presence of UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Mohammed bin Nakhaira Al Dhahiri. The UAE envoy conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to President Mursi. The Egyptian President lauded in the meeting attended by a number of Egyptian ministers, the distinguished relations between the UAE and Egypt, referring to great role of the UAE President in safeguarding the security and stability in the Arab and Muslim worlds. He underlined that the security of the Gulf is the security of Egypt, reiterating that the Egyptian people have affinity with the UAE. President Mursi called for increment of UAE investments in Egypt, and creating more job opportunities for Egypt's workforce in the UAE. For his part, the UAE ambassador said the investment ties between the UAE and Egypt have witnessed in the recent years positive growth, citing the increment in number of UAE investment companies in Egypt- the investment expanded to over 100 billion Egyptian pounds. "There will be investment boost, especially after the pledge made by President Mursi to resolve investors' problems," he added. Meanwhile, the investors were upbeat about the personal commitment of President Mursi to solve any obstacles that may impede UAE investments in the country.
