UAE- Saif bin Zayed hails GCC states' security cooperation efforts


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The 31st meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States' Interior Ministers kicked off today in Riyadh. H. H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior led the UAE's delegation to the meeting. Sheikh Saif commended the efforts exerted by the GCC states to further develop the security cooperation in the interest of peoples in the region, recalling the role played by the late Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz. "The GCC security had lost a man in the stature of Prince Naif, who had the set rules to counteract extremism and terrorism," he added. He expressed confidence in HRH Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Minister of Interior to bear the responsibilities in the footsteps of the late Prince Naif. Sheikh Saif revealed that the GCC Interior ministers were planning to launch an initiative in the memory of late Prince Naif.
