(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Al Injaz Private School officially inaugurated its new premises in Al Ansab, Bausher, and organised 42nd National Day celebrations on Monday. H H Sayyid Harib bin Thuwaini al Said, assistant secretary general of the Council of Ministers for Conferences, was the chief guest at the event.The school now has a capacity to host nearly 1,200 students, accommodating 20-25 children in a total of 47 classrooms.Amita Sharma, director of Al Injaz School, said, ''In each class, we have installed a projector and a white board, so that along with the traditional method of teaching, multimedia such as animated graphics can be used to teach students, which can give them a better understanding of the subject.''The new premises also has a swimming pool, computer lab, gymnasium, art room, physics and chemistry laboratories, and a library, which features a separate section for primary students.''I believe that education should contribute to an overall development of the child, where he or she will not only progress academically, but also in extra curricular activities, such as sports, debates and Q'uran recitation,'' Amita said.The school's 42nd National Day celebrations included traditional dance performances, poetry recitals in English and Arabic praising His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, gymnastics and karate demonstrations and an Omani fashion show. Disabled students also took part in the celebrations.Sayyid Harib congratulated the school authorities on the new campus and said, ''This achievement of Al Injaz School promotes the education of Omani children. Further, the ceremony was well organised and the performances were excellent. I wish the school progress and prosperity in all their endeavours.''
