Qatar Airways' 1st 787 Dreamliner to arrive this week: CEO

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways' CEO, Akbar Al Baker, said that the carrier would receive its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner airplane by the end of the current week, reported Arabian Business. The aircraft is lighter and more fuel efficient than any comparable plane of its size and range as it's made of composite materials. The 787 Dreamliner has larger windows, lower cabin pressure at higher altitude ensuring less fatigue, mood lighting throughout the plane and more passenger space and comfort. The Qatari carrier, which has a fleet of 111 planes flying to 120 business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America, is the Middle East launch customer of the 787, with 60 aircraft on order.
