(MENAFN - Arab Times) Sabre Travel Network Middle East (Sabre), a global technology company serving travel suppliers and agencies, has joined hands with Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to applaud the work done by the airline's top travel management company (TMC) customers in Kuwait.
This sponsorship underscores the importance of the Kuwaiti travel and tourism market to Sabre's strategic plans for the GCC.
Daniel Naoumovitch, Sabre's chief executive in the region welcomed all the guests to this special event. "Sabre has always supported, engaged with and recognized the work done by TMCs across the region. Kuwait, in particular, is an important growth market for us and we acknowledge the valued travel partners who have supported Gulf Air, and in turn supported Sabre during the year," he said.
Gulf Air Country Manager, Kuwait, Ahmed Al Matrook commented: "Joining hands with Sabre to recognize Kuwait's leading travel agents is important for Gulf Air as we strive to not only reiterate our commitment to trade partners but also celebrate their continued support of our airline. This event is aimed at recognising travel agents for their loyalty and efforts while giving them an opportunity to spend an afternoon in a relaxing environment with other members of the travel trade."
Sabre's history in Kuwait includes signing an exclusive long term agreement with Alshamel Travel and supporting the extensive growth plans as a key technology partner to other major regional players such as Dnata, Kanoo Travel, World Travel Service and Fursan. Earlier last year, Sabre inaugurated their new centrally located office in Kuwait's prestigious Al-Qibla district. Fully equipped with modern technology facilities to accommodate the company's growing workforce, the office provides ample space for Sabre's workshops and travel agent training.
Recently, Sabre has had significant traction in the market with their innovative products, namely the Sabre Red App Centre, the world's first B2B online application store for the travel industry. The Sabre Red App Centre is the first online marketplace to connect travel buyers, including travel agencies, travel management companies and leisure operators, with application providers from around the world.
