UAE- Air Arabia posts USD61.5m Q3 profit


(MENAFN) Air Arabia announced that its third-quarter profit increased more than the double from last year's same period to USD61.5 million, reported Arabian Business. The UAE budget airline said that revenues in the period jumped 19 percent to USD227.54 million. The carrier, which operates out of Sharjah International Airport, saw its passenger traffic growing by 14 percent in the quarter, to 1.37 million passengers. The carrier that recently launched services to Russia's Kazan, Uffa and Rostov, noted that average seat load factor stood at 82 percent. It is worth noting that Air Arabia has a secondary hub in Casablanca, Morocco, and a third one in Egypt's Alexandria.
