(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Hanaa bint Salim al Sulaimani will soon become the first Omani woman to receive a PhD from SQU.As part of her doctoral programme, she researched the potential of Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery applications in Omani oil fields.''This is a great honour for me,'' said Hanaa. ''Omani women are able to achieve in all areas because of the unconditional support they receive under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.'' The degree will be conferred on Hanaa at SQU's 2012 graduation ceremony, to be held in December.Hanaa's PhD thesis, titled 'Microbial enhanced oil recovery and its potential for application in some Omani oil fields', was conducted under the supervision of Dr Yahya al Wahaibi, Prof Saif al Bahry, Prof Abdulkadir Elshafie and Dr Ali al Bemani.
