Kuwait- Woman accused of stealing friend's bracelet


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Salam police station against her friend, accusing her of stealing her gold bracelet valued at KD 1,300 during a birthday dinner held by the complainant recently, reports Al-Anba daily. The woman informed securitymen that she had invited several friends to the party and when a drink fell on the suspect's dress, she allowed her inside her room to clean up. When she later discovered that the bracelet is missing, she called the suspect and asked her to return the stolen item. However, she was shocked when the suspect abused her for making such a demand. She said she is certain that the suspect intentionally splashed the drink on herself in order to steal the bracelet. The suspect declined when securitymen summoned her to the police station for investigations. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing in this regard. Meanwhile, three teenagers â€" Kuwaiti, Syrian and Palestinian were arrested recently for stealing tents from Wafra desert region and other areas, reports Al-Anba daily. Reportedly, officers from Ahmadi Security Directorate formed a team for investigations after they received directives from Ahmadi CID Chief Colonel Waleed Al-Durai'e to investigate the criminal activities in the area. They managed to arrest the suspects and retrieved several stolen items. The youths were referred to the Public Prosecution for investigations.
