Meeting aims at finding job opportunities for Kuwaiti youths


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Assistant Undersecretary for Labor Affairs and Manpower of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Tariq Al-Khaled had received on Thursday a delegation from the International Bank who is searching for solution to the unemployment problem in the region, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily quoting reliable sources. Al-Khaled revealed that through the Strategic Alternative Project, CSC is trying to link appropriate job descriptions for every job positions such that it would match with the salaries of the employees. Director of Citizen Service and Public Relations Administration Jassem Al-Ruweis affirmed that CSC met with the International Bank delegation to learn from their experiences that can be applied to the functionality of CSC particularly since the meeting was aimed to find job opportunities for Kuwaiti youth and eliminate the unemployment problem. Sources revealed that the delegation suggested changing the structural standards of the private sector to make it more dynamic in order to benefit from the human resources and encourage the skills flow by finding a balance between the public and the private sector. They said the delegation provided suggestions based on the study they made on the availability of jobs in the Middle East and North of Africa. They explained that the study focused on identifying the unemployment rate of those countries. The delegation indicated that the number of people demanding for jobs in the public sector in those countries is higher than those seeking jobs in the private sector, adding that this weakens the independency of the human resources despite their high availability.
