Avant keen to boost channel distribution network in GCC 

(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) Avant Enterprises, a manufacturer of quality construction and interior products for commercial and domestic sectors, announced its plan to boost its channel partners in the GCC during its debut at The Big 5 exhibition in Dubai.

"We are displaying Avant Signature Flooring and Avant Koolroof at this exhibtion, which make a positive contribution to the environment and have insulating qualities that may reduce electricity costs by up to 25 per cent, resulting in lower carbon emissions," Philip Mazloumian, director of business development exclusively told Khaleej Times.

The company's total investment in the UAE this year is estimated at 30 million, with a similar investment being proposed for 2013.

The company believes a 270 million market exists for flooring and roofing products in the UAE, in which the firm is trying to capture 30 per cent of it in two years.

"The UAE market has huge potential for us and we are already available through Danube and Al Taif. We are in discussions with several other distributors in the region, which we will finalise in the next few months," added Mazloumian.

"Exhibitions like The Big 5 are extremely important to us - they attract the best of the best in terms of industry players - therefore it is crucial to have a presence here. It is a great networking opportunity for us, as well as the perfect launching pad for a product in the region. Our products are manufactured in China with German specifications," he added.

Avant is targeting general consumers as well as developers and contractors looking for premium, yet maintenance-free, flooring options.

"We found that there is a very clear need for high-quality flooring in the Middle East. Consumers want a product that stands up against the harsh elements, but also offers a premium look and feel. Avant Flooring responses directly to this need. It is also a sustainable flooring solution, something that increasingly 'green-minded' consumers and developers are favouring," said Mazloumian.
