Kuwait: 22 illegal expats caught at Khaitan cheap calls centre


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Farwaniya securitymen recently raided an illegal den that provided international calls at low cost and arrested 22 expatriates with expired residency in Khaitan. According to security sources, when Farwaniya securitymen received information about a gang in Khaitan that provided facilities for international calls at low cost, a team was formed for investigation. After securitymen closed the entrances and exits of the area, an undercover agent was sent to the den on the pretext of making an international call. When securitymen received a signal from the agent, they raided the location and arrested 22 expatriates of different nationalities. They checked their details and discovered that their residencies were expired. They were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Securitymen also coordinated with the concerned authorities to disconnect the lines that were used by the suspects to make international calls. Meanwhile, securitymen recently carried out an impromptu raid on Mohammad Bin Al-Qasim Street, and arrested 17 male and female hawkers who were found selling used clothes, vegetables and spoiled food items. They were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
