(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Salmiya police have arrested a citizen of a European country or Jordanian origin for fraud and breach of trust, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect reportedly took KD 5,500 from his cousin to invest in the European Stock Market and escaped with the money.
According to the complainant the suspect promised him 10 times more the value of his money.
After parting with the money, the complainant said he waited for the profit and ended losing the principal amount.
When the victim filed the complaint police discovered the man was out of the country and took him into custody three days after arrival into the country.
He has been handed over to the Public Prosecution for interrogation.
