UAE- Adec guide for parents to teach kids Arabic


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A guide to assist parents in teaching Arabic language to their children has been introduced by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec). The guide aims to enhance parents' role in teaching their children their mother tongue. Written in an easy and simplified way, the guide focuses on topics and skills such as listening, reading, comprehension, composition, communication and writing. With a section dedicated to parents' role at home to help there kids acquire Arabic skills through reading aloud, storytelling, acting, use of IT applications, observing the acquisition of vocabulary and enhancing discussion and dialogue skills, the guide is an important educational reference for parents to take an active role in their children's education. Dr Karima Al Mazroui, Arabic Curriculum manager at Adec, said the guide helps parents and Adec key partners to realise the importance of assisting their children at home.
