(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf said on Tuesday the ministry would sign three memos of understanding involving local authorities for luring nationals work in the industrial sector.

The MoUs will be signed among Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP), the State Executive Apparatus and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET).

Minister Al-Hajraf was addressing the Third Industrial Conference, organized by Kuwait Industries Union -- themed "Education for Service of Industries." The event is patronized by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah.

Elaborating, the minister said the 2005-2025 state teaching strategy aims at upgrading the sector, particularly with regard of altering predominant values and concepts regarding work and consumption, with emphasis on productivity and work in the private sector -- contrary to the current prevalent trend of seeking work in the public sector.

This strategy is designed to attain ideal utilization of the national wealth, preserving the environment, with emphasis on the human factor which is the source of Kuwait wealth, in the material and moralistic sense, in addition to securing simultaneous teaching and training for the cadres.

As to the government action program for the ministry of education, for the 2009-2013 years, it includes a project to develop secondary-level teaching.

He alluded to statements and guidelines by His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, affirming that "real investment is in the human resources and not the economy, and that, undoubtedly, our real wealth is our youths .." The one-day convention addresses specialties of graduates with the needs in the industrial sector, in shadow of current domestic economic conditions.
