(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) and Kuwait Industries Union (KIU) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding to co-launch "an integrated training program" for supporting the national labor-force at the industrial sector.
The memo aims to encourage the job seekers to turn to the industrial sector and specify the segments of new graduates of the national colleges and universities needed for this sector, MGRP Secretary General Fawzi Al-Majdali told reporters after the signing ceremony.
"The selected graduate will be entitled to the training program at the industrial institutions that suit their respective specializations before being employed by these institutions," he revealed.
"The document provides that the state will pay the trainees allowances as per the regulations specified in the Civil Service Commission Act No 5 for 2004 and the ministerial decree No. 1 for 2004," Al-Majdali noted. He added that the MGRP and KIU with set up a joint committee to oversee the implementation of the memo.
