U.S. Election Results: Romney maintains lead over President Obama

The republican candidate maintains lead over the incumbent Democratic President Barack Obama, on 154 against 124 out of total 270 electoral votes, respectively. Most importantly, Florida and Ohio, two vote-rich battlegrounds, are getting too close to call!

Two decisive ballots are still being tallied in key battleground states of Ohio and Florida, but given the tightness of the initial results, a counting stretch for at least into Wednesday before a winner could be declared is seen quite possible amid high turnout.

Ohio will offer the challenger`s campaign 18 electoral votes, while Florida will offer 29 electoral votes. Meanwhile, tens of millions of voters cast ballots and the winner could be declared within hours, especially as other swing states report results.
