UAE- Filipinos being trained to save and invest wisely

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Leaders from the Filipino community are gathering to teach their fellow countrymen ways to hold on to and invest their money wisely. A programme endorsed and supported by the Philippine Ambassdor Grace Relucio Princesa, the Financial Literacy Seminars, a series of free two-day seminars, is being conducted by the PinoyWise movement which focuses on educating Filipino expats in the UAE. The programme is part of the activities of the new breed of leaders in the UAE calling themselves OFWs for Leadership, Excellence, Action and Development (LEAD). LEAD was organised last month by selected leaders, who dream to serve, enhance and sustain the true spirit of 'Bayanihan' by fostering collaboration and interaction, advancing professional development and imparting leadership advocacy to Filipino organisations in the UAE. Dante Delizo, LEAD Board of Director and President, CADD Group, said its mission is to create and manage OFW communities that emphasise quality leadership, enabling them to achieve their goals and generate growth. "It is about time Filipino organisations in the UAE exercised their freedom of choice. We want these organisations to be functional and productive and they must have the option of finding a better alternative where they can truly serve," he said.
