(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The nameless streets of Dubai are finally being given the recognition they deserve, thanks to a new scheme announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The Districts Addressing System project will make numbers a thing of the past and see names being assigned to several areas across Dubai, in their very own naming ceremony. The new addressing system is one of the first moves to champion the large-scale change in putting street and region names on the map.
Work will begin t immediately on the project and the initial phase will see Umm Suqeim 1, 2 and 3, Al Sufouh 1 and 2, and Dubai Marina transform from mere digits to names.
