(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) The UAE government in coordination with the World Economic Forum " Davos has named Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, as one of the Co-Chairs of the Regional Organisations Forum, or ROF, to be held in Dubai from November 12 to 13, 2012, in conjunction with the Summit on the Global Agenda 2012, in addition to Lee Howell managing director, member of the managing board, World Economic Forum.
The ROF, which will be hosted in Dubai for the first time reflects the UAE efforts in uniting views between international bodies and promoting mutual cooperation for the sake of servicing humanity. The meeting also presents UAE as a major destination for key global events, which brings together decision-makers and heads of international bodies to address important global topics.
"The UAE under the leadership of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen to strengthen teamwork and global compliance in such a rapid changing world. This requires unifying visions, efforts and strengthening areas of cooperation, underlining the role and performance of global organisations to ensure that the hopes and aspirations of the nations are achieved," said Gargash.
"The growing regional and international role played by the UAE today as well as the leadership vision to be one of the best countries in the world by 2021 represent the main pillars for launching such a global initiative for the first time here in the UAE. The event will promote dialogue on issues that concern the world today," said Abdullah Lootah, Secretary-General of the Emirates Competitiveness Council, Deputy head of the Organising Committee of the Summit on the Global Agenda.
