(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Hawalli police have referred an unidentified young Iraqi woman to the Salmiya Police Station. She was caught red-handed under the influence of alcohol, reports Annahar daily.

According to security sources the woman was caught for reckless driving. She allegedly stepped on the gas pedal when she spotted the police in the area after coming out of a suspect residential complex.
A case has been registered against her.

Meanwhile, the Hawalli police have arrested a young Syrian woman for drinking alcohol and possessing a bottle of booze, reports Annahar daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information went to an unidentified location and took the woman into custody and referred her and the booze to the concerned authority.
