(MENAFN - Arab News) The Riyadh-based Institute of Public Administration (IPA) began yesterday receiving 2,034 government employees to enroll in 80 training programs at its headquarters and branch offices in Jeddah and Dammam.
The programs are aimed to meet training requirements of male and female trainees, upgrade their production efficiency and boost their positive behavioral attitudes. Each program will cover a period running between 2-5 days, Saudi Press Agency reported.
An estimated 1,222 employees will attend 47 training programs at IPA Headquarters in Riyadh which will cover different areas such as management of meetings, organizational change, time management, Windows operating system, media campaigns, contract drafting,
administrative creativeness, vacations, data automatic retrieval, recruitment, supervision of project implementation, service contracts, medical reports, e-secretariat, government accounting entries, data security, media systems, database programming (ADO.NET), budget analysis, statistical survey design, administrative forms development, job performance evaluation, feasibility studies, money laundering, data processing, how to deal with subordinates, work pressures, negotiation skills, job promotions, service termination, questionnaire development, and formation of team-works.
In Jeddah, meanwhile, some 410 employees will join 17 training programs, while 302 employees will enroll in 12 training programs in Dammam.
The programs will cover similar areas in addition to new areas such as time management, negotiations with suppliers, letter writing, report design in Visual Basic environment, how to deal with visitors, secretariat works, decision-making, intellectual property, GCC unified customs system, and administrative coordination.
The IPA ladies branch in Riyadh is set to receive 100 woman employees in four training programs covering areas such as basics of information security, administrative coordination and skills of team-work building.
