The agency said that the UAE's trade reached USD135.8 billion, compared with USD122.9 billion in 2011's first half.

It added that imports jumped by 12.3 percent from a year ago to USD87.47 billion, whereas national exports surged by 39.7 percent to USD20.95 billion, and re-exports fell by 8.8 percent to USD27.35 billion.
