(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) SVC Group's (ASX: SVC) 38% owned associate Zambian Resource Ventures has defined two prominent linear emerald bearing anamolies at the Lufunwayama in Zambia.
The structures were found after ground magnetic survey and geophysical modeling of the targets. Diamond drilling of the has now started at one of the anomalies.
Zambian Resources has planned about 400 metres of core drilling that will confirm the presence or lack of talc-magnetite schists and pegmatites that will prove favorable geological environment for emerald formation.
After the initial drilling results are analysed, Zambian may isolate a suitable location for an initial test pit to target shallow emerald mineralisation that is expected in the area.
