(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) A burst pipe near the Wadi Adai flyover has left some areas in the city without water for two straight days. Residents of Hillat al Saad near Wadi Adai and Hillat al Jazeera in Hamriya have been hit by the burst which occurred on Saturday.On Sunday, authorities said they couldn't tell when the supply would be restored and have asked residents to make necessary arrangements in case of delay in repairs. Residents are bringing water for daily needs in jerry cans.An official from the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) said, ''Supply to some areas in Hamriya like Hillat al Saad near Wadi Adai and Hillat al Jazeera behind the Al Nahdha Hospital has been affected because of the burst.''The pipe was repaired on Saturday but burst again on Sunday morning, he said. ''PAEW officials are at the site trying to fix the problem as early as possible, but we cannot say when supply will be restored,'' he said.Shamis al Battashi, who is visiting his relatives in Hillat al Jazeera on Sunday said, ''They told me that a water pipe had broken in Wadi Adai and there has been no water for two days now. We have been told that repairs will be carried out, but don't know when. We had to bring water in jerry cans.''Mohammed al Wuhaibi, another resident of the area said, ''There is little water in our tank now, but that won't last much.''
