Oman Food Safety expo to take place from Nov 6 

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) As announced by OITE Conferences, the third Oman International Food Safety Conference 2012 will take place from November 6 to 8 at Grand Hyatt Muscat.The conferences will be held on November 6-7 while a workshop on November 8.The three-day event, highlighting developments and updates related to food safety in the country and emphasising on the need to implement an effective food safety system, is held in association with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Public Authority for Consumer Protection, Muscat Municipality, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Oman Chef's Guild.''We have chosen key topics that will be highlighted at the conference by a panel of regional and international experts keeping in view key issues in Oman's food safety network.These topics will give attendees a viewpoint, ranging from a global to local perspective, covering technological solutions, best practices, food safety management programmes and initiatives, methods to combat food bourne illnesses and outbreaks and more.Besides providing information relating to the food safety sector, more emphasis is being given this year to the employment of a food safety system and raising the food safety standards to an international level,'' said Sherwin Sevillena, senior manager, OITE Conferences.The event which will be sampled by over 250 key players related to the industry.
