(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Striker Hassan Zahr found a crucial second-half equaliser to help ten-man Salalah secure a 1-1 away draw against Oman Club in their fourth round match in the Omantel Elite League at the Seeb Sports Stadium on Saturday.After a sedate first half, hosts Oman Club opened the scoring in the 51st minute through a strike from Humaid al Haimly but Salalah responded well, drawing level in the 58th minute.The visitors were a man down in the 67th minute when defender Naif Naseeb was sent off for a dangerous tackle, but they held on to finish with a draw.Haimly scored after he capitalised on a smart pass from Phillipe Songa, Oman Club's forward from Ivory Coast.An opportunistic Zahr then equalised for Salalah from a rebound after Oman keeper Abdulaziz al Raqqadi warded off midfielder Mohammed Aqaq's shot from a corner.Salalah coach Ahmed al Said was happy with the draw. It is a good result for us. We were reduced to ten men for over 20 minutes, but the team defended well, he said. This is a young team and most of my players are still gaining experience in the top division.Oman Club's Serbian coach Markov Zeljko said, I am satisfied with my team's performance today. We dominated the match, but couldn't convert the chances that came our way. We lost two points from this home game, but it is a long season and we can make up by winning some of our away games.Earlier on Friday, hosts Saham thrashed nine-time champion Dhofar 3-0 to go on top of the table with ten points from four games.
