Kuwait- CID arrests motorist who 'hit' security officers during protest


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Personnel from the General Department for Criminal Investigation have taken into custody the motorist who had deliberately hit several private forces officers during the Wednesday demonstration, reports Al-Anba daily quoting the Ministry of Interior. The daily added during interrogation the suspect has admitted to committing the crime. Security sources say investigations are underway to find more details of the incident. According to the Ministry of Interior, police have found the vehicle which was used by the culprit to commit the crime. Meanwhile, the Al-Seyassah daily said Secretary of Kuwait Journalists Association (KJA) Faisal Al-Qenaei has also condemned the deliberate and inhuman act committed by one of the demonstrators Wednesday. Reports say a reckless participant in the demonstration deliberately hit the press photographer causing him fractures on parts of his body. He added, the KJA while strongly condemning such acts of violence, has called on the Ministry of Interior to arrest the suspect and bring him to justice.
