(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Talent Hunters Oman will be organising Musical Journey I “ A tribute to 100 years of Indian Cinema' at Le Grande Hall of Al Falaj Hotel on November 15. A group of talented local singers and performers will participate in the programme.With the objective of bringing out the best from local talent, Talent Hunters Oman in the past has conducted programmes such as Muscat Idol in 2006 and 2007, Little Gems Muscat Idol 2008 “ Teen Sensations, Dance Muscat Dance 2009 and the recently concluded Muscat Icon 2012. All these shows were held for charity.According to Talent Hunters, the programmes were well-received and received good media coverage in Oman and India.''Continuing our encouragement to local talent and to cater to music lovers of Muscat, we are conducting a theme event. Anyone who is interested in old golden great songs of Hindi cinema should not miss this show,'' said Dr Sanjay Dalal, programme director.Haider Naqvi, coordinator and a singer is extending the technical support. He said, ''It is going to be a show of high quality. We have been preparing for the show for the past one month. Every aspect of the show will be taken care of professionally. This is going to be a real treat for music lovers of Muscat.''Dr Sateja Dalal, administrator and backstage manager, said. ''This is just the beginning. We intend to support local talent by conducting such shows at least twice a year.''After looking at the response, we intend to move the show to City Amphitheatre in Qurm.''Murali, Subhashish, Haider, Peeyali, Shekar, Sarfaraz, Shehneel, Parth, Akhilesh, Priya, Sreelakshmy and Ritika will be the singers.Gajesh will be the host-cum- scriptwriter. Pradeep Asrani and Dalal shared their stories for the script.There will be a special dress code for guests which is black and white.Entry is free by invitation only.
