(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Badr al Samaa's Al Khuwayr branch recently organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event as part of its tenth anniversary celebrations.Dr Paul Abraham, ENT surgeon, Badr al Samaa, Al Khuwayr, spoke on the ill-effects of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea, its assessment and the management of obstructive sleep apnoea. Dr C J Fernandez, internist, Al Khuwayr, branch, gave a talk on common condition in routine general practice.He emphasised on headache and its management and the various condition leading to chronic dizziness. Dr Abdul Nissar, dermatologist, Al Khuwayr branch, spoke on newer trends in dermatology, different skin conditions and treatments using new gadgets.V T Vinod, managing director, Badr al Samaa Group, in his address acknowledged the support of the medical fraternity of Oman. Over 120 doctors attended the event.''The CMEs and seminars,part of our tenth anniversary celebrations, were appreciated by the medical fraternity and corporate officials. A team headed by marketing manager K O Devassy was responsible for organising these CME events and seminars within a span of one month."Badr al Samaa has organised over 100 CMEs across its eight medical establishments since inception and will continue to organise more such events with a social commitment,'' he said.The session was moderated by Dr Thomas Varghese and Dr Smitha Tharakan. Dr Nisha Nambiar proposed the vote of thanks. As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to the speakers by Dr Rajiv Sunny, Dr Nirmal Jacob and Dr Vidya Shetty.
