(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council has approved the first phase of a project to conduct a hydrographic survey in the emirate.
The survey is aimed at developing hydrographic maps to regulate and facilitate water transport and to monitor underwater utilities.
During a meeting chaired by executive council member Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, the committee reviewed details of the project which is considered one of the key requirements for an effective management of waterways and navigation safety.
The project is set to positively impact tourism and the use of water transport.
