(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) As part of its leading role in supporting the development of the Islamic finance industry, Ahlibank is the titanium sponsor of the first Muscat International Islamic Finance Forum (MIIFF).The two-day event, organised by Amanie Advisory House of Oman at the Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, on November 4 and 5, will bring together senior industry figures, global investors, Takaful operators, bankers and Shariah scholars.The topics will focus on the newly-created opportunities in Oman and other countries, new to Islamic finance, as well opportunities in Islamic banking and finance in the wider region.The forum will specifically discuss the current state of the Sukuk market, new opportunities for Takaful providers, winning strategies for distributing funds within new markets, and issues facing new Islamic banking environment in Oman to include asset liability management, treasury and interbank money market products.Commenting on the event, Abdullah al Jabri, deputy general manager, said, ''Ahlibank's support to this important conference is an opportunity to showcase the role played by the bank as a well-established institution contributing to building and development of Islamic banking Industry in the sultanate.
