UAE- RAK to receive 6K Russian tourists

(MENAFN) Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAK TDA) stated that over the coming 6 months, the emirate is expected to welcome 6,000 tourists from Russia, reported Arabian Business. The authority said that the increase in the number of Russian tourists would result from the new charter flight deal inked with Russia's operator Pegas Touristik. It added that the first Russian charter flight landed in the emirate this week as part of the agreement. A weekly charter flight will operate from the Russian cities of Syktyvkar and Kemerovo, in collaboration with Orenair and Nordwind Airlines. The Eastern European country is one of the main 5 source markets for Ras Al Khaimah and the new direct charter flight service is expected to help the emirate in achieving its goal of 1.2 million visitors by next year.
