Ukraine will not curb wheat exports

(MENAFN) Ukraine's Agriculture Ministry announced that the government has no plans to curb wheat shipments in the near future, reported Xinhua News. The country has no shortage of grain supplies locally, thus, there would be no need to place any restrictions on exports of the commodity. Since the start of the current marketing year, on July 1, Ukraine, one of the main 10 global wheat-exporting countries, has exported around 4 million tons of wheat. It is worth noting that since mid-October, rumors have been circulating that Kiev plans to prohibit wheat exports starting mid-November, which has boosted global wheat prices.
