(MENAFN Press) Comguard, a Dubai based leading value added distributor for IT products and part of the Spectrum group in association with WatchGuard is organising a series of half day security workshop for channel partners titled 'Next Generation Security-Red Instead' at Dubai, Doha, Muscat and Riyadh.
'Next Generation Security-Red Instead' focuses growing opportunities in the Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances market which is one of the fastest growing segments of IT market in region. According to a recent report by Gartner, the Middle East and Africa market for Unified Threat Management appliances in 2011 witnessed a growth of 13.5 percent. The report further stated that the growth in this region was driven by a mixture of transformational government projects, high-speed Internet connectivity adoption and a heavier reliance of regional SMBs using Internet access to conduct business.
WatchGuard is a global leader in the unified threat management (UTM) market space and recently they have introduced new version of their next-generation UTM WatchGuard XTM 5 Series network security appliances that ports the fastest throughput in its price class without sacrificing security efficacy, manageability and ease of use as well industry's most effective defense-in-depth solution for email security, web security and data loss prevention solution, WatchGuard XCS (Extensible Content Security) in the Middle East region.
Haroon Iqbal, Sales Manager- Middle East Africa & Pakistan, WatchGuard Technologies, Inc., said, "We are 100% channel driven company and our growth rest on success of our partners. It has always been endeavour to empower our channel partners with the right skill sets and knowledge. These security workshops are just the first step in the same direction to educate and train channel partners on our next generation security platforms that will allow them to gain more business and better margins."
Key executives and technical experts from both Comguard and WatchGuard will be present at all the security workshops. They will make several technical presentations during the course of the workshop and also will provide hands on training to partners on WatchGuard XTM and WatchGuard XCS platforms.
WatchGuard will highlight its Partner Program and introduce its Partner Portal to the channel partners present at the workshops. It will also share its incentive program 'SecurityPays Global' and will explain in details how partners can benefit from working with WatchGuard.
Mohammad Mobasseri, Senior Vice President, Comguard said, "WatchGuard are the pioneers in the security space and these security workshops will help our channel partners spread across the region to gain deeper insight into the next generation security platforms from WatchGuard that will enable them to tap into the opportunities much more effectively. We are also looking forward to engage with new channel partners who are willing to work with us to take WatchGuard products to the market."
Comguard witnessed huge turnout of partners for their first security workshop for partners that was held recently in Dubai. Workshop held in Dubai witnessed an overwhelming response from the channel partners to attend this security workshop. Now, both Comguard and WatchGuard are confident with the success of rest of workshops in Doha, Muscat and Riyadh in coming months.
Comguard and WatchGuard also intend to conduct similar Next Generation Security Platform workshops for End-Users in UAE, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia followed by workshops for partners during the last quarter of year 2012.
