(MENAFN - Arab Times) Three unknown individuals attacked an Indian expatriate in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and stole KD 3,000 from him.
Reportedly, while the Indian expatriate was walking to his flat in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, he noticed a white vehicle with three occupants, who were wearing sports attire, waiting near his building. One of them stepped out of the vehicle when he saw the victim and hit him on the head using a weapon locally known as 'Hajra'.
The other suspects also attacked him, after which they took KD 3,000 from his wallet and fled from the location.
Securitymen rushed to the location when they received information about the incident. The victim, who works as a contractor in a construction company, informed securitymen that the money was an advance amount paid for the construction of a house.
Securitymen noted the descriptions of the vehicle and the suspects. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
Meanwhile, an Egyptian expatriate fractured his leg and sustained other injuries when a vehicle driven by an Indian expatriate hit him in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh while he was crossing the road.
When the Operations Room of Interior Ministry received information about the accident in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh opposite a commercial complex, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location.
Paramedics referred the victim to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment while securitymen arrested the Indian expatriate and referred him to the police station of the area for necessary legal action against him.
