(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) H E Dr Rawiyah bint Saud al Busaidiya, the Minister of Higher Education, recently met a delegation representing the Oxford Business Group (OBG).A press release said that the UK-based OBG is a global publishing, research and consulting firm which specialises in producing economic reports on emerging markets in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. OBG established its offices in Muscat in 2004 and its forthcoming publication, The Report: Oman 2013, will be the ninth consecutive analysis of the sultanate's economy. OBG is working with Oman's public and private sector institutions for the analysis.The release said that The Report: Oman 2013 will include an introductory macro-economic analysis, followed by a comprehensive sector-by-sector study of the country's economy, including education, banking, capital markets, energy, industry, tourism, real estate and infrastructure development.While on-the-ground research and analysis make up a large part of The Report: Oman 2013, it also includes a number of interviews, including one with H E Dr Rawiyah.H E Dr Rawiyah briefed the delegation on the development of higher education. The report will include a focused discussion on the issue of quality assurance in higher education and will highlight the academic chairs that bear the name of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
