Kuwait- Road, fuel tax proposal being studied


(MENAFN- Arab Times) All the concerned authorities are currently studying the possibility of imposing taxes on roads and fuel for vehicles, reports Al-Anba daily quoting the Ministry of Interior's Public Relations and Moral Guidance Department which is headed by Colonel Adel Al-Hashash. In a recent press statement, the department clarified the roads and fuel taxes proposal was presented after it received information on the alleged manipulation of salary certificates to obtain a driving license, in addition to its commitment to solve the worsening traffic problem in the country. The department disclosed the ministry officials are also contemplating on the probability of benefiting from the expertise of retired employees; hoping the proposal, once implemented, will serve the interests of the people.
