(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's (KPC) Managing Director for Government, Parliamentary, Public Relations and Media Affairs Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid Al-Sabah stressed here on Sunday the necessity of the continuation and permanent upgrading of risk management policies at the corporation, as it is linked with strategies of other concerned institutions and bodies.
The corporation's risk management is also linked with finding appropriate mechanisms to implement those strategies and systematically deal with all dangers surrounding present and future activities, Sheikh Talal said in a press statement on the occasion of KPC's forthcoming conference on comprehensive risk management.
He noted that the goal of risk management is to implement the corporation's strategic direction to manage all dangers it faces effectively and efficiently.
Furthermore, the effective program of risk management requires a clarified determination of the department's roles and responsibilities in order to match its principles, to which most important is "risk management is responsibility of all; from board of directors' members to employees.
The Kuwait conference of comprehensive risk management is to kick off on November 26, and to conclude on November 28. The conference is sponsored by KPC.
