Oman Arab Bank sponsors Traffic Safety Expo 2012


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman Arab Bank (OAB) recently sponsored the 3rd exhibition of traffic safety, the Traffic Safety Expo 2012, which was held from October 16-18, at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. The exhibition was organised by Oman International Trade & Exhibitions (OITE), in collaboration with ROP.The expo was inaugurated by H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salem al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications. OAB was represented at the opening ceremony by Bishara Qafiti, DGM - operations and retail banking, with a number of other officials.Traffic Safety Expo 2012 is indeed the most prominent event of its kind in the sultanate. The aim of the event was to ensure a better co-operation among key players and stakeholders, and a better understanding of how the latest advancements in the technological area can help reduce road accidents, as well as uplifting the levels of awareness and promote sound traffic culture among the road users, with a view to cultivate a safer driving environment.The expo also focused on matters of roads, traffic, rescue work, solutions for emergencies, as well as upgrading the levels of awareness on traffic culture among institutions in the sultanate.OAB, through the participation in the expo, aimed to produce a forward thinking in regards to traffic safety among nationals and residents alike, and spread traffic safety awareness in the society, in addition to encourage safe driving practices.OAB has also given an overview of the services rendered by the bank in this regard, through a myriad of banking services, such as, car loans, and other retail facilities provided for the individual and corporate clients, which in turn is helping in reducing accident rates on our roads.
