Iran inks MoU with Tajikistan to boost bilateral trade ties

(MENAFN) Iran signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tajikistan to enhance ties between the two countries' free trade zones, reported Tehran Times. The deal, aimed at strengthening economic, industrial and cultural relations between Tehran and Dushanbe, was inked on the sidelines of the exclusive exhibition on potentials of Iran's free zones, which was held in the Tajik capital. Last year, trade between the two sides reached more than USD500 million, according to Tehran's ambassador to Dushanbe, Ali-Asghar Sherdoost. It is worth noting that the exhibition focused on investment and joint venture opportunities in the Islamic Republic's free and special economic zones.
