Iranian cement production to grow to 75m tons


(MENAFN) Iran's deputy industry minister, Vajihollah Jafari, stated that by the end of the current calendar year (March 20, 2013), the country's annual cement output is forecasted to grow to 75 million tons, reported Tehran Times. Jafari said that during the first half of the current year, the Islamic Republic's exports of cement exceeded 6.8 million tons. He added that exports of the country's mining sector represent 30 percent of non-oil exports, and 40 percent of industrial exports. It is worth noting that by the yearend, Tehran's cement output capacity will stand at 86 million tons.
