NBO honoured for its social responsibility role in Oman 

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) National Bank of Oman (NBO) was honoured as the Best institution in the field of social responsibility in Oman' during a ceremony held to felicitate institutions in the field of social work in the GCC. NBO was the only institution to be honoured from Oman.The award function took place during the recent 29th session of the Meetings of the GCC Council of Social Affairs Ministers' in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.A high-level delegation, headed by H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Said bin Saif al Kalbani, represented the sultanate at the meeting.The speakers reiterated their commitment to update legislations and social systems to promote sustainable social development and create an improved and viable environment for unprivileged segments in society.Hassan Abdul Amir Shaban, head of government banking, received the award on behalf of NBO.He was part of the Oman delegation accompanying H E  Kalbani and also addressed the delegates on behalf of all the GCC countries.Hassan Shaban said, ''On behalf of NBO, I take this opportunity to extend my thanks and appreciation to the Council of Ministers of the GCC states, for honouring the bank as the Best Institution in the Field of Social Responsibility in Oman'.
