Air Seychelles posts USD13.8m Q3 revenue


(MENAFN) Air Seychelles' CEO, Cramer Ball, stated that the carrier's revenues jumped by 23 percent in the third quarter from the previous three-month period, reaching USD13.8 million, reported Emirates News Agency (WAM). Ball said that passenger traffic surged by 51 percent, to 79,887 from 53,066. Furthermore, the number of domestic passengers grew by 30 percent from the second quarter to 43,949, with the number of local residents flying domestically rising by 27 percent to 17,215, whereas the number of international visitors on domestic routes increasing by 32 percent to 26,734. The carrier boosted the number of domestic flights by 14 percent to 3,283 flights to Praslin, Bird Island, Denis Island, Fregate Island and D'Arros. It is worth noting that in January, UAE's Etihad Airways acquired a 40-percent stake in Air Seychelles and inked a 5-year management contract with the carrier.
